A training workshop to enhance the role of youth in combating extremism and building community peace in Anbar Governorate.

Based on the National Youth Development Initiative, and under the generous patronage of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, and in fruitful cooperation with the Supreme Council for Youth and the Department of Non-Governmental Organizations, the Tayba Relief and Development Organization and the Fallujah Youth and Sports Forum organized a qualitative training workshop for youth in Anbar Governorate during June 2025.
The workshop, titled
“Combating Violent Extremism and Building Community Peace,”
brought together a select group of young men and women from Anbar to enhance their awareness of the risks associated with violent extremism and develop their skills in dialogue, peaceful coexistence, and peaceful conflict resolution.
The workshop addressed several topics, most notably:
- Defining violent extremism and its impact on society.
- Preventive measures to protect youth from being drawn into extremist ideology.
- Effective communication skills and community dialogue.
- Mechanisms for designing youth initiatives that contribute to building local peace.
- The role of youth in spreading a culture of tolerance and coexistence within their communities.
During the workshop, Taybeh Relief and Development Organization emphasized that empowering youth is the cornerstone of confronting intellectual and social challenges, and that involving them in building community peace is a strategic investment toward a stable and secure future.
At the conclusion of the activity, the organization expressed its deep gratitude to all parties that contributed to the success of this workshop, most notably:
