Invitation from the International Rescue Committee to participate in the Climate Guidance course

Climate Educator Training Course in Baghdad – 4 Days, January 2025
The Supreme Council for Women’s Affairs, in cooperation with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), launched a Climate Educator Training Course in Baghdad, with the active participation of members of the Iraqi National Women’s Team.
The course aimed to enhance environmental awareness and build the capacities of participants in the areas of climate change and sustainability, contributing to national efforts to protect the environment and empower women to lead climate initiatives.
The Climate Educator Training Course, organized by the Supreme Council for Women’s Affairs in cooperation with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), concluded with the active participation of members of the Iraqi National Women’s Team.
The course included introductory sessions on climate change, its causes and effects, and ways to mitigate its negative impacts. It also focused on training qualified women to become climate educators who contribute to raising environmental awareness and strengthening community response to climate challenges.
This course is part of efforts to support the role of women in environmental and climate issues and enhance their participation in sustainable development.
