Within the project “Combating Violence Against Women… A National and Societal Responsibility”

As part of the “Combating Violence against Women… A National and Community Responsibility” project, Al-Tayba Relief and Development Organization, in cooperation with the Iraqi Women’s Network, implemented a dialogue session titled “Her Peace is Our Responsibility.” The session targeted a group of representatives from civil society organizations, community police, and local community members. The aim was to promote the concept of protecting women from violence and raise community awareness of this sensitive issue.
The session was held in a safe and supportive environment and hosted 25 participants, including university students and community activists of both genders, as well as representatives from local organizations and community police. Various forms of violence against women were discussed, including psychological, physical, economic, and electronic violence.
The session relied on various interactive methods, such as brainstorming, role-playing, and storytelling techniques. These methods contributed to enhancing interaction among participants and opening a free space for the expression of opinions and experiences, enriching the dialogue and giving it a humane and realistic character.
These efforts come within the framework of the organization’s efforts to promote a culture of respect for rights and emphasize that combating violence against women is a responsibility that falls on everyone.
