Al-Teeba Relief and Development Organization implements workshops for students of the College of Media in Fallujah District on the concepts of violent extremism and its dangers


As part of the project on the role of religious figures and digital creators in preventing extremism and with the support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), Al-Tayyiba Relief and Development Organization implemented a series of awareness workshops for students of the College of Media on the concepts of violent extremism and its dangers. The workshops aim to raise awareness among university youth and provide them with the necessary tools to combat extremism and confront hate speech and violence. The organization is committed to supporting youth and enabling them to contribute to spreading the culture of peace and moderation. The workshops addressed several main axes, including understanding the roots of violent extremism, its causes, and its destructive effects on individuals and societies, in addition to discussing how to confront this phenomenon through media and awareness content.
Dr. Nabil Jassim, the workshop trainer, added that these workshops play an important role in raising awareness among students about the challenges facing society in light of extremism and violence, and that the students showed great interaction with the topics presented and confirmed their readiness to transfer what they learned to their local communities.
The workshops continued for several days and witnessed wide participation from students who presented questions and interventions
