Al-Teeba Organization Holds a Dialogue Workshop on the Status of Women and Ways to Empower Them in Fallujah

Teeba Organization held a dialogue workshop in the city of Fallujah, Al-Anbar Governorate, on 20 August 2026, to discuss the status of women in the local community, the challenges they face, and ways to enhance their participation in social, economic, and development fields.

The workshop was attended by 50 participants, including 31 women and 19 men. The discussions addressed several key topics, including community participation, economic empowerment, education and capacity building, combating violence, participation in decision-making, and the role of media in supporting women’s presence and contributions.

Participants emphasized the importance of expanding opportunities for vocational training and professional development, supporting small and income-generating projects for women, and strengthening their participation in community initiatives and civil society organizations. They also highlighted the importance of providing legal, psychological, and social support when needed.

The workshop concluded with a set of recommendations focusing on transforming women’s needs into practical and implementable programs, enhancing cooperation among government institutions, civil society organizations, and the private sector, supporting women’s and youth initiatives, and highlighting successful women’s stories in Fallujah and Al-Anbar.

Teeba Organization affirmed that empowering women and enhancing their participation are essential components of efforts to build a more cohesive and stable society and to achieve sustainable development.
